Stop Kiss

Told through an unusual timeline, juxtaposing past and future events, Stop Kiss explores the relationship of two heterosexual women who meet and surprisingly discover that they have a desire for a deeper relationship with each other. Transcending the stereotypes of a gay/lesbian romance, Stop Kiss embodies the broader themes of love, personal identity, and the desire for a rewarding life regardless of society’s ideas of what constitutes an appropriate partnership. Diana Son’s Stop Kiss puts issues of social conformity, peer pressure, and moral structure in direct conflict with making a commitment to living a life that is rich in meaning and value.
