Light Up The Sky
The University of Kentucky

A backstage drama taking place in the lavish Boston hotel room of Broadway actress Miss Irene Livingston, in town for the opening of a new play. Irene waits with her sarcastic mother, the flamboyant director, the lowbrow producer, and his wisecracking wife, after opening night. Anxious that the reviews will declare them a flop after an off kilter opening, the cast turns against one another and especially against their unlikely author, a truck driver-turned playwright. When it turns out that the reviews are favorable, however, the tables turn, and we see how easily show business people can go from friends to enemies to friends, once more.
